Anybody else admired the full moon this month? It was so bright, I thought someone had left a light on in the kitchen.

I'm about to get walloped with another big storm. (Sigh.) This time there could be snow in the mountains north of me. (Double sigh.)

Today's Cub Scouts event has been postponed due to our storm, so thank goodness for small favors!

A lovely autumn day here. A bit windy, but the sun is nice. I've been out with my camera to get those autumn seedpod pictures.

Currently in West Wales...weather reports this week include the threat of a Pembrokeshire dangler...not a term I have come across before, but I believe it is cold, wet and coastal.

That sounds fascinating. If you are lucky / unlucky enough to experience it, please report back!

It sounds as though the Dangler might appear the night we leave the area...seems to be a North South line of snow and rain showers which impinge on the Welsh coast.

We had below-freezing temps at night for several days and then I walked out this morning to find it was 63 F (17 C) at 7am. (This is very unusual!)

It was also very foggy.

:toomuchcoffee: Just because I am attending something picturesque today, it is dull, overcast and threatening to rain. I was hoping to get some photos.

It's been raining very heavily all day. I'm not concerned about the possibility of flooding yet, but if it continues like this I'll have to keep an eye on things.

We had heavy rain this morning. Then it dried out but we were under a high wind advisory and I was worried about losing some more of our trees, although thankfully everything stayed rooted as it should.

Most definitely very wet ... we were on the boat in Whitehaven, and it persisted it down all day. Used up three towels to dry ourselves and Ben de-Dog after walks !

We're having an early heat wave in South-East Queensland. Still only Spring and temps have been in the high 30s already. Much worse out west. Wondering what summer's going to be like...

For the first time this season, I have snow in my extended forecast. Not this weekend, but the following one. I better spend this coming weekend outside as much as possible and then go into hibernation mode.

Currently spending a few days in Whitehaven.
It is now Wet & Very Windy.

I checked the met office stats for the nearest station (ie St Bees) to see what the gusts had been.
Between 19:00 and 20:00 (9th Nov 2018) the sustained speed was 47mph with a gust of 68mph
No wonder the poor boat is leaping about at her moorings.

I hope you are rocked to sleep by the swell, StoneRoad. I intend to let the sounds of the storm lull me to sleep later.

My cat is so disgusted by the rain that she isn't even watching the birds on the bird feeder through her cat flap. She is curled up in a pile of cushions, trying to pretend that today isn't happening.

We got 5 inches of snow overnight!

Then at some point around sunrise, it changed over to rain. So we had five inches of snow, weighted down with soggy rain, to shovel out of our driveway before we could leave for work/school. It was a workout! And I was disgustingly damp by the end of it as well. But I got to work OK and the boy child was sent off to school on time!

Quite well, thank you. He’s gotten a perfect score on his last three spelling tests, apart from writing his Zs backwards. His only real issue is that he’s about 6 inches shorter than every other kid, (because he doesn’t eat).
