Does anyone know if any of our members are still having trouble logging in? So many regular members have said hello and then never posted again
All regular members have an email they can contact if they are having problems, Frecks. And as Kismet says, I expect they're waiting for things to calm down a bit.

Hi all. Have been away for a while. The forum seems to be slowly reassembling, but I'm a bit lost still. Do we get back our previous posting info, or are we starting at zero? I've joined as a new member but don't know if that is kosher. Is there another way of joining that recognises previous membership? Will all our previous threads and topics eventually come back or do we get to rediscuss and reargue all our previous subjects? Sorry if all that has been advised elsewhere but am struggling to fight my way back in! Will get there soon I hope.

I'm afraid it is a "starting again" situation :(

We have copied over that which was most important to each of us - if you know of some threads that were not copied, that you would like to be, you can either alert us to them or copy them over yourself.

Copying over old threads is a good way to bring your post count and rank up to what it was before!

Also, you can still find the "unread posts" button but it has moved. It is now under "Quick Links" on the upper left side.

Hi 266. We've all started from scratch and joined as new members.

Fairblue and I have a very high post count as we have copy and pasted 50,000 posts between us from the old forum to this one, whilst KK and Foolscap have copied 8,000 or so. We have copied the vast majority of the threads from each section and tried to keep to the same format and headings so people can find things and we can carry on discussing topics from where we were up to rather than having to start again. We thought we were about finished as we've been asking for a while if there is anything anyone wants transferring across without receiving any replies. If you go to the Chat forum, and read what's under the Reposting topic then you will be able to see what we have done.
'Major Bigglesworth,' said von Stalhein coldly, 'there are times when I seriously wonder if you were created by the devil just to annoy me.'

Wow. Sounds like a lot of hard work has been going on. Thanks to all who have been wearing out their fingers shifting threads around! I'll start searching for the topics that matter to me but otherwise it's back to being a new recruit! Regards to all.

I'm in the process of slowly copying the Model Making thread over. As there are a lot of photos it's a bit time consuming, but it will all come over eventually.

It’s like one minute you’re a squadron leader, and the next you’re a sergeant... oh wait. ;)

Very good KK. I am not even a Sgt. yet. Still never mind we are all together again that is the main thing.

This is a test message for action by Kismet and myself. :smoking2:
