Sorry to be so dim, but how do we actually stick a pin in?
Thanks, ES

Type in the place (i.e., Jerusalem) and the map will go there. Them click on the name on the left and it will say "add to map". Then you can color it green to show you've been there, not just Biggles.

Oh. I did it the other way round. I selected a pin and clicked on the map, then typed the name in when a prompt box came up. It took me ages to work out how to make the pin green. I think your way is easier.

I've been to Vienna - I'd forgotten that story, Kismet!!
Apart from that I can contribute Darwin, Broome and Arnhem Land - Biggles in Australia
Sydney - didn't they call in there on their way home in Mystery Island?
Papua New Guinea - Flies Again - I actually flew over the Fly River
Singapore
Borneo - well, modern day Brunei... (does that still count?)
Canada - but not up around Fort Beaver...
USA - New York - (Condor
London, Cornwall, Inverness
Can I count Moldova in lieu of Moltavia in Goes to War? :D
Oh dear - quite forgot Brooklands and Mount Street

And now I'm adding:
Aberdeen
Glasgow
Isle of Skye
Newcastle
Gatwick Airport
Loch Ness
:bounce: :bounce:

Looking great so far! :)
Also though, if when you add a pin you could add your username and the appropriate book/s to the short description underneath the title of each pin that would be very helpful; so we can know what's what.

All right fellow travelling Bigglesers, I've started filling it in with our info and the book titles. What do you think?

Tangier is Missing Millionaire. Is it mentioned in Foreign Legionaire? Sorry.

Good job compiling us.

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea how you're doing this. Type in a name where? Select a pin how? The map seems to give me no options to do anything. Typical luddite, that's me. :)

Y'know, SS, I can usually work this kind of thing out, but I'm stumped too

KK or J349 or somebody very knowledgeable will explain, I'm sure...

Ok, i've taken a couple of screenshots, with instructions on how to use the system.

 FYI: A green marker indicates a location where both Biggles and at least one forum member has been. Red marker merely indicates a place where only Biggles & co. would dare venture, and no forum members have been there.

 For Editing (e.g. just adding your name to one of the locations):

 For Adding new markers (i.e. on a location not previously listed, or not marked by a green icon):

Hope this helps.

Also, how approximate are we making the markers?

Edit: also this was my 100th post! :) i'm now a pilot officer :pilot2:

I've just added Newcastle (Black Peril).

If you've been to any of the places we've already marked, don't forget to add your name!

Where in Australia besides Darwin and Sydney did Biggles go? Did he actually go to Perth, or did he just send someone there?

Something like that I think. As far as I know it was actually a real place.

Cooper Creek. And you're right Jenny. It is a real place.

National Geographic states that that is where the famous explorers Burke and Wills starved to death in 1861.

You mean in 'The Adventure of the Haunted Creek'? Yes, FB is right (of course) ;)

Synopsis according to DrB's site...
Biggles finds an explanation for the ghosts of Dead Cow Creek on the Cooper River in Australia.

I don't think so. He certainly did not go to the West Coast of England. He went to Scotland a lot though.
