Is it an "adventure" or is it a book about Biggles as a person? I remember reading about how he dislikes treasure hunts for those reasons, i.e. that so very rarely do you actually find one :lol: at the beginning of a (or several?) book where he goes treasure hunting.

Well, yes Wings 1927 was sentimental but given how Biggles was about Marie and about Algy in flies East...

(I have a Howard Hughes Hells Angels UK version that I haven't seen yet, going to have a Big Christmas Film Fest)

It is one of the Biggles short stories and Mahoney tries to stop him doing just what you say - dashing off into an ambush.

This film doesn't seem to be available in a format that can be played in Region 2 (Europe etc.) :(

I think Flynn and Niven were friends for a while or at least shared a house while filming. I have 'First of the Few' and 'A Matter of Life and Death' with Niven in which are both good.

I've just got a copy of Wings 1927 for £2.70 inc post. Bargain. And am after Hells Angels at the moment. Dawn Patrols more difficult as I'm region 2 but just noticed its got David Niven in it as well.
