Ok. I'll have a final check of the old forum in a few days to make sure everything I want is across. I've had four chest infections in two and a half months so I'm behind with everything.
Ouch, Kismet, you have been in the wars; are you feeling okay now?

I can't imagine those temperatures. 20°C is very hot in West Cumbria and I've rarely experienced 30°C on a holiday.
We had that last year. I fainted and broke my wrist. The hospital wanted to know why I fell. The NHS was struggling to cope with people fainting and they wondered why :?

Re: Fanfics and writing?

I don't remember it being mentioned in the biography, but I think it would be a given that WEJ read PGW. Wodehouse was hugely popular even before Johns. He even wrote for the boys magazines that Johns would have read as a child. Plum (PGW) was thought of as a "writer's writer" and has been quoted by...

Re: A Biggles movie revival?

There are some superb adaptations of many of the Agatha Christie and Naigo Marsh books on BBC Radio. The same two people - writer (Michael Bakewell) and director (Enid Williams) - did them all. Sadly, most writers in film and TV prefer to write their own story and just attach the name of a famous wr...

Ditto, Kismet. This has been a great fic. Oh well, I can go back to the beginning and experience it all over again - unlike most of the folk in this story!

Re: Biggles Forum is costing too much

If this is true we can calm it down by just not posting so much! I know that when people are in the mood it is not easy to stop, but we need to just think what posts should go next. We have plenty of time so no need to do it all now.
